cheesy faces, wagons, and lights

IMG_2621

Most of the time this is what I get when I ask to take a picture! Silly girl!

Presley got a wagon from Meemaw and BJ tonight for Christmas! She LOVED it! She wanted us to push her around in it forever. Then she pushed her dolls and toys up and down the hallway.

And these are some pictures from Sunday night. We went with our friend Karri to the Riverwalk in downtown Milton. The gazebo on the bottom right is where we got married. :) Presley, of course loved the train and was impressed that Santa was the conductor! And she had to get down on the ground and talk to the little deer! ha ha!

only one week left…

I can’t believe that Christmas is only one week away. It just doesn’t seem possible. Maybe it’s because we spent Thanksgiving day in Louisiana and then didn’t have our Florida Thanksgiving until a week later. So I feel like I have an extra week until the 25th. My Mom and I went shopping last week for like 12 hours and came home with sore feet, sore legs, and a cold but 80% of my presents were bought! ha ha!

Presley helped Mamaw and Papaw decorate their tree before we left Louisiana. She was admiring her hard work!

And this is our tree. Presley decorated the bottom half with the unbreakable ornaments. They are all discombobulated and moved on a daily basis, but I just embrace it because that’s how our life is right now! That big  black mark on her forehead is where she gashed her head open on my nightstand. :( There’s still a mark today and she did it almost 3 weeks ago!

I know this next week will fly by. I just hope I can cram everything that I need to get done into it!

A Louisiana Thanksgiving

We came to Jeremiah’s dads house for Thanksgiving this year. It was my first holiday being away from my parents and I’m not gonna lie, it was kinda weird. It didn’t even really feel like Thanksgiving. I guess because I’m used to helping my mom cook most of the morning and then eating our “normal” food. I’m glad that Jeremiah got to spend it with his family though and we still get to eat Thanksgiving again with my family this upcoming weekend. Does it get any better than eating TWO feasts? I think not! (:

All of the Pettys! This was the first time that Jeremiah and his two brothers and their families have been together on a holiday since….ever!

Jeremiah is the odd one out! Ha!

And then finally, the big family group on Jeremiah’s moms side. She came from Pensacola  a few weeks ago to see everyone and it was nice having her and her husband there too!

The Florida Pettys! (:  We enjoyed seeing everyone and this trip has been a nice break from our “normal” life. Sometimes just leaving your house for a few days feels like vacation! I hope your Thanksgiving was full of family and food!

Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone had a great candy-filled night! We sure did! We went to Immanuel Baptist Church’s trunk or treat. They had lots of candy, bouncy houses, a gigantic inflatable slide, and free food! (they were some delicious hot dogs too) Presley dressed up this year as Peppa Pig. It is, without a doubt, her favorite TV show right now. And it has made her obsessed with all things pig related! I’m pretty sure no one knew who she was, but that’s ok. She knew she was Peppa and that’s all that mattered!

IMG_2463IMG_2466IMG_2450IMG_2460

Presley was laughing in the first picture because she saw a car decorated like cookie monster. She thought that was hilarious!

IMG_2453IMG_2457

Chloe (on the left) was a pretty princess being oinked at by Peppa! And then on the right were Peppa, Sully from Monsters, Inc., Rapunzel (of course!) and a football player! I thought they all looked fabulous!

Daddy had the best costume…a handsome dude! And Mommy was a black-eyed P! get it? yeah, it took some people a minute!

I know some Christians declare celebrating Halloween sinful. But honestly, to me, everyday is the Lord’s day. Why give it away to the devil? We always celebrate 10/31 with fun and family anyway, so what’s the harm in getting all dressed up and eating some candy? just my opinion….

This is the day the LORD has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

I think you can see from the dirty face above that we had a good time at the corn maze and the pumpkin patch this year! :) Here is a photo collage of our day!

4th fun!

Hope everyone had a GREAT 4th of July! It's one of my favorite holidays! I had zero preparation done for today because of me being sick and I thought for sure Presley or Jeremiah was going to wake up sick today too. So we kinda winged it today and it still turned out great.

We had these bacon wrapped jalapeno chicken bites that I found on Pinterest. They were pretty yummy! Walmart was out of jalapenos so I had to substitute other peppers, so I bet with the right ingredients they could be awesome! Of course, mine looked exactly like this picture! ;)

We also had fruit pizzas for dessert. They were a big hit! :)

And then came fireworks. Our town always has them over the river downtown. We used to be able to see them from our backyard, but now the trees are too tall. So we had to walk downtown this year. They scared Presley at first. I had to hold her in my lap with my hands over her ears. But she quickly progressed to sitting in the wagon by herself with no hands on the ears! She loved them! She kept saying "wow"!

All of our little firecrackers!
We're so blessed to live in a free country where we can freely worship our Savior. God Bless!
