We went to our downtown art festival back in March. We normally just walk around and then eat a snack from the yummy vendors. But this year, they had a kids area where they could make crafts for free. Of course, all our kids wanted was a cowboy hat and Kole didn’t even want one of those! They also got some balloon animals and after the second one popped, we decided to go eat a snow cone and call it a day!

NAS trip
The first day of spring break was crazy rainy so we decided to spend the day at the Naval Air Station museum. Unfortunately the rest of Pensacola had the same idea and it was insanely packed! We still had a good time though. They loved seeing all the planes and playing in the kids area. I always love seeing the movies they have on IMAX, but we didn’t do that this time. We ate at the little café there and it was delicious. I don’t remember it being that good before! I think it’s pretty amazing that we live so close to the home of The Blue Angels!
Kole wasn’t feeling the picture with the planes. She wanted my mom to hold her instead of Presley!
The one on the right cracks me up! Kole decided to fly like a plane! (:
This one was much better…all smiles! Of course the only picture of Presley and I turned out super blurry. Glad we got a bunch of my mom and the kids though!
Oh I love these munchkins! (:
cupcakes and a quick trip to the park
Presley was being very quiet in the kitchen one day and this is what I discovered when I found her! She was being a good little Mommy and feeding her baby cupcakes! (:
We have a walking trail that runs right by our house. It’s super nice and leads to a cute little playground that we like to visit. My only complaint is that it has no lighting, so you have to be headed home before it gets dark. Anyway, these are some pictures from a time in January that we went. Notice how Presley is dressed? We had some crazy “winter” weather this year! I’m really hoping it gets cold enough to actually cool off from the summer heat this year.

birthdays a little late
Jeremiah’s birthday was November 22nd and mine was December 7th, so clearly I’m a lot late in posting this! I totally forgot to take pics for mine, but we celebrated the day of with just us 3 at Olive Garden. And then a few days later, Jeremiah and my Mom cooked a Pioneer Woman meal complete with the best chocolate cake in existence, and we celebrated then with everybody. For Jeremiah’s birthday, we ate seafood at a local restaurant (can’t remember the name right now) and OhSnap! made him a red velvet cake. It was super delicious! So enjoy the pictures!
Kole and Presley were just as excited to blow out the candles as Jeremiah! :)

a walkin’ punkin’
We went on our first walk with Presley out of a stroller a few weekends ago. We have this great walking trail right by our house that leads to a creek one way and to a park the other way. I don’t know why we don’t use it more often!
Anyway, Presley wanted us to carry her at first. She said that the cars would come run her over and she would have a boo boo. Poor thing, I guess the trail resembles a road because it’s paved! After a lot of promising that we wouldn’t let a car run her over, she decided she could walk. She was pretty brave looking out over the rail at the water.
Then of course, she couldn’t walk home because her shoes were hurting her feet. Presley had decided earlier that she wasn’t going to wear socks with these new shoes. She won both times….not having to wear the socks and not having to walk home! ;)

Disney Live and surviving as a soccer mom
Jeremiah and I kept the kids last week for my parents while they enjoyed a Branson vacation. I’m not gonna lie, I was kinda nervous about this. Not that they weren’t going to behave, but that I wouldn’t be a good mom to 4 kids. 3 out of the 4 go to school each day and then you add in homework, soccer practice & a game, Kole’s PT….I was a little overwhelmed to begin with! But my wonderful Mama wrote down a detailed schedule that kept us all sane. And it totally helped when I got the complaint “We don’t normally do that”, all I had to say was it’s on the list that she wrote out! :)
They stayed Thursday afternoon until Tuesday morning and we had a great time! Monday after school was the only time we were driving each other crazy and the only time time-out was utilized! Other than that they all played really well together and minded us great.
Saturday afternoon, while Presley was napping, I took Jaden and Kole to see Disney Live at the Civic Center. My manager had given me some free tickets and I had wanted to take them anyway so it worked out perfectly that we got to go for free. They, of course, had a blast! Since I didn’t have to pay to get in, I decided to buy them a magic Mickey wand and a light up Mickey light-saber. They spent the rest of the afternoon nearly poking their and other people’s eyes out! You’re welcome Mama! ;) I thought the program was originally Disney On Ice, but it was just a play about the (condensed) stories of Snow White, Cinderella and Belle. I enjoyed it probably as much as they did!
The Grand Finale song had all of the princesses dressed in white and Minnie and Mickey dancing around. Then of course in high Disney fashion, fireworks and glitter exploded out into the audience. Jaden and Kole said “Wow!”
We HAD to watch Tangled on Friday night, because no weekend spent with Jaden and Kole would be complete without watching Tangled. Seriously! It’s ok though, because I really like that movie. Kameron was less than thrilled to be watching it, because he said that that’s all they watch at home. RIght. So we quickly quieted him up with the iPad! Presley actually sat for a about 5 min. in her Daddy’s lap and watched it. Which is a record for her watching any movie.
And finally a picture of the two cutest girls ever brushing away one night!
