Kameron, the soccer stud!

IMG_2137

I am SO loving the way WLW lets you post for your blog! Obviously, it’s my second post in one day! Anyway, Kameron is playing soccer this year and his team is pretty good. They won 3-0 tonight and I like to think it was because we were there cheering them on! Winking smile  Presley had a good time running around with Jaden & Kole. Oh and I pretty much win the worst mother of the year award. P just had this dress on, no jeans underneath. I wasn’t thinking about cooler weather when I dressed her….poor thing! She kept saying “I cooold”! That’s probably why she kept running around, to keep warm!

Something free can ACTUALLY be amazing!

If you have a blog, you know how frustrating it can be to write a post and upload pics using blogger’s template. I personally hate blogging sometimes for that very reason. But thanks to the free Windows Live Writer, blogging is actually easy! I found this post by Centsational Girl and the Heavens opened up to Angels singing to me!!! Not really, but it left me wondering why in the world I was still blogging the old school way. I decided to give WLW a try and I LOVE it,  L. O. V. E.  it! Anyway, go read her great post and then jump on my bandwagon!

This picture is Presley’s first drawing of a smiley face! How is my kid able to draw this grown up drawing? It’s mind-boggling, this toddlerhood thing! I just wanted to add a picture so see how crazy easy it was to do it!

Six Flags

I was a little disappointed with the Six Flags day. I think all of us were really. They are in their "off-season" which means only open on Saturdays and Sundays. You would think that since school has started back and not many people take vacations then, it would be safe to go....WRONG!!! There were SO many people there. We still had to wait in line for the big roller coasters for over an hour. It. Was. Ridiculous. We spent the money to ride only 3 rides.....I was a little perturbed! The only good thing about going this time of year was that the weather was nice.

The kids had a lot of fun riding rides. We rode a big train around the park and Presley loved that! She is crazy into trains right now! We brought Presley with us in line for Superman and then just swapped her between the four adults riding. But people were staring us down and whispering "that baby can't ride this!" No duh people, she kinda doesn't meet the height requirements! Haha! But she probably would if she could.....this kid LOVES to be scared!

Here she is on a ride all by herself! She looked scared to begin with, but once it started going, she was all smiles and would wave to us as she went by!! (it's crazy bad because it's a cropped cell phone pic.)

These were swinging boats that actually went pretty fast. Jaden was in the boat in front of us by himself. He was constantly turned around telling us that we were super spies and what kind of mission we were on. He's so silly! Kole was raising her hands up the whole time and Presley was holding on to one of my fingers and grinning like a monkey. Life with these munchkins sure is interesting! :]

TRAIN!
At least it was a day spent with the people I love! Minus Jeremiah, he had to work....boo for being an adult!

baseball and a teddy bear picnic

On Friday we left for Atlanta. We packed food to have a picnic lunch on the way there. It saved us some $ and also let Jaden have his "teddy bear picnic" that he missed at school that day.

We got freshened up at the hotel then went to the Braves game. There were SO many people there! I've been to about 5 games before and I have never seen that kind of a crowd there. We had really good seats at the end of a section that allowed the kids to get up and move around. It was Star Wars night so there were all kind of characters roaming around the stadium. It was also fan appreciation weekend and they had fireworks after the game. These fireworks were better than Milton's 4th of July fireworks!

Presley was killing me with the Braves chop. When the music would play, she just popped her little arm up in the air and went to town! :) She would also cheer and clap right alongside us. It was pretty funny!

She needed the binoculars to get a better view! Notice that coats got broken out? It was so chilly that night. We had checked the weather and brought them, but we weren't fully prepared for it to be low 60's. It was nice but would have been nicer with warmer clothes!

We didn't get back to the hotel until almost midnight. Granted it was really 11:00 in our time zone, but it's still the latest Presley's ever been up. She didn't fall asleep until close to 1 and then we had to tackle Six Flags the next morning.

preschool was a no go

After much deliberation and prayer, we've decided to pull Presley out of preschool. I kinda feel like we are giving up but then again we gave it a month. And she still rips my heart out every time, begging me to not go or for her to go home with me. This morning she didn't even want to get into the car. It's hard when I already have to leave her 3 nights out of the week to go to work. (and it doesn't help when I see really sick kids at work and constantly think about that when I'm not with her!) Maybe she'll be the 10 year old who is still clingy, who knows. But right now, she's only 2. We still have time to do school later. We only really did 2 year old preschool for her to get some interaction with kids her age, because we don't have a playgroup or friends that we see on a regular basis. I know that Presley eventually does calm down and have fun for the day, but I'm still left reeling emotionally from the awful separation that occurs each day. And let's be real, preschool ain't cheap! So I was basically paying to have my heart ripped out! I know that's a little dramatic, but that's what it feels like! Sorry, I know that was a mess to read but it all just blurted out of me.

Anyway, on to funner stuff! We went to Atlanta this past weekend for a quick mini vacay so that's what the next post will be about.

more phone pics

Here are some more pictures from my phone. Some of them are a few weeks old...oh well, better late than never I guess!

Presley has been so into "drawin" as she calls it! She loves to color with crayons, markers or chalk. She likes for you to draw choo-choo trains and happy/sad faces. If you draw a smiley face, she'll say "he sad" for you to erase the smile and make it a frown. Then she'll say "he happy now" for you to put the smile back on it. It's cute but it gets a little exhausting after a while!

This was on the way home from church. She was getting fussy, so I climbed into the backseat and played paparazzi! :) She looks like such a little diva here.

One night at my parents' house, Presley decided to get all decked out in a nurse's scrub top, a pink hat and a sequined pink purse! She has been getting into dress up stuff lately. I foresee Christmas presents of the like.

P helping her daddy play the bass and Kole twirling a drum. They made a great little trio! :)

Jaden's 6th birthday!

Jaden turns 6 on Wednesday, but we had his party Saturday at the West FL Railroad Museum. Tropical Storm Lee decided to grace us with its raininess and that made for a wet party, but I think everyone still had a good time. Luckily they're at the age where it doesn't really matter what you do, cupcakes equal fun! :) Prepare for an obnoxious amount of pictures.....I didn't feel like making collages of them!

How fun is this? The parties are in the dining car! Presley got a kick out of this!

Presley helped make the "happy tuptates". Haha! That's what she calls them. I guess because you sing Happy Birthday in order to eat the cupcakes!

The museum has a little train for the kids to ride. It was sprinkling rain at this point, but they didn't care!

They also have a huge model train display built like a little Milton. It's really cool and we all loved it.

There is a train car that you can walk through at the front of the museum that's pretty cool.

This last one is funny. Presley was saying "too youd" at all the kids in the dining car!
