Happy Halloween!

Spiderman, Tinkerbell & a baby chick had fun trick-or-treating Saturday night! I was thankful that we only went around for a little bit because we had just gotten back from our trip and I was exhausted! I still am! There is not much to this post because the pictures speak for themselves and well, I don't really have much to say. I'll post about the trip sometime tomorrow now that laundry is done and there is at least a path cleared through the junk! Ha!

& I couldn't resist including a picture of Presley's spider clip. Isn't it adorable? She wore it today with the orange dress that she wore at the pumpkin patch. She was the sweetest thing! Of course, she was in no mood for pictures after her nap....so the clip gets all the glory!

a quick one

ugh! I was going to post pictures from the T-Rex restaurant that we ate at tonight, but my camera is in the diaper bag, which is in the room where Presley is asleep. & there is no way on this earth that I am going in there and waking her up! She had a crazy sleeping day and I know she is so tired. We had an awesome time though! It is seriously the coolest place I've ever eaten at! =) So, pictures will have to be posted later. We are headed to Animal Kingdom bright & early in the morning! Y'all have a fantastic Friday!

come on Wednesday!

I hope these next 2 days fly by because come Wednesday we'll be headed here!

Aren't you jealous? ;) I can't wait! It's the only Disney park we've never been to. Our trip to Orlando is pretty short....we are coming back Saturday. But it's a mini vacation that we all desperately need! Jeremiah, Presley and I are going with my parents, Kameron, Jaden and Kole. So hopefully since the adults out number the kids we'll be ok. I am leery of bringing a 16 month old to an amusement park but, hey you only live once right? I'll definitely have to remind myself of that when the tantrums start among the hundreds of people there!

& Thursday night we are going to eat here!

Doesn't it look exciting? It's the T-Rex restaurant at Downtown Disney. From what I've read it's kind of like the Rainforest Cafe. & every 20 minutes the lights dim and a meteor shower takes place on the ceiling! I'm not gonna lie.....I'm pretty stoked to eat here! :) I'll try to blog while we are gone, just so I don't have 10 million things to post about when we get back!

Have a great week! =)

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch this afternoon. We had a blast! Presley's favorite part was playing in the dirt, of course! She did like the hay ride we went on. It was so funny that she just sat in my lap the entire time as still & quiet as a mouse. I think she was a little stunned by the loud engine of the tractor! She also very much enjoyed trying to pick up the bigger pumpkins! I highly recommend coming to this farm if you are in need of some delicious peanuts and good scenery! =)

She doesn't like to be contained at all! As evidenced by the above photo! Ha!

I can't believe that she's big enough to be sitting up there with Jaden & Kole.

I couldn't resist including these sunflowers. They were gorgeous out in the field. I wish I could grow them in my backyard!

Kole's 4th!

Yesterday we celebrated our niece Kole's 4th birthday! We had it at the same park in Pace as we had Jaden's party, because that's what she wanted. And there is no real theme to the party, but she had a caterpillar cake because that's what she wanted! Ha!

My camera died after this picture so I didn't get any of her opening presents, oh well!

Happy Birthday Kole! We love you sweet girl! :)

16 months!

My Presley Pop! They say better late than never, right? I guess that can apply to a month post as well! The months just seem to be flying by us, blurring into one another. It seems like you've grown a lot this month somehow.

You have definitely become more mobile. You run circles around me most days! You have mastered walking backwards and maneuvering around obstacles. Just last week you started climbing up things. Yay! I'm glad you have met this milestone but it gives Mama a heart attack each time you do it. We have had to turn the ottoman upside down in your chair to keep you from climbing up and standing in the chair!
. You, my dear, are definitely my daughter! You LOVE to talk on the phone, be it a house phone, cell phone, real or fake! You just jabber, jabber, jabber when it's up to your ear! Of course when somebody is really on the phone you won't talk to them, you just say hey and then bye bye! But you talk your imaginary friend's ear off! Ha!

You have been through the worst teething. Almost overnight you got four teeth on top. But I guess that's what happens when you don't get any teeth for almost a year! It's a testament to how good of a baby you really are, because even through all of that you were still so sweet!

& You have (finally!) moved up to a size 4 diaper and size 5 shoe! You still wear the same size 18 month clothes though. You needed some cooler weather shoes, so yesterday you and I went shopping. You definitely take after me in this department as well! You LOVE shoe shopping! I wish I had someone there with us to video it because you were precious! You got the biggest grin on your face when I was putting them on you and then you just pranced up and down the aisle like you were walking on a runway! Ha! You even put on a pair of croc-wannabes by yourself! I was super impressed that you could do that! :)

Well, your next month post is right before Thanksgiving and Daddy's birthday. I'm sure you'll have grown a bushel and amazed us more than ever. =) We love you sweet girl!

sickness & a wedding!

Sorry we've been MIA lately! We went out of town to my cousin's wedding last Friday and got back Sunday. Well wouldn't you know, Monday Presley and I both felt a little under the weather & by Tuesday I was full blow SICK! I didn't even go to work that night. I guess it was just a cold but man, can that little virus knock you out! I'm feeling better now and thank the Lord above, Presley's never progressed to anything bad. So.....I totally missed Presley's 16 month post. It was Monday and I remember thinking "I should post about that" but obviously it didn't get done! I figured I would just post some pics from this weekend & I'll post about 16 months later this afternoon.

Here is the lake where the ceremony overlooked. It was a gorgeous setting!
My Mama & Amanda
Kole with her bouquet! She wasn't in the wedding, my aunt just gave her the flowers afterwards. She is mighty cute holding it though!
Kole, Jaden & their cousin Derrick. They were so cute together :)
obviously the cake! the topper was really cute! I just loved all of the rich colors she used!

Presley in her daisy dress from Miss Karri! She was beyond cute toddling around in it!
We went out to eat later that night and here is Presley sitting in the rocking chair at the restaurant. It looks like one of those HUGE ones that are sometimes at the fair!
Despite traveling 12 hours in less than 2 days and getting sick, I would say that we had a great weekend! :) We got to see family that we haven't seen in almost 2 years and eat some pretty awesome catfish and wedding cake! It doesn't get better than that!

Oh, & here is a sneak peak of Presley's Halloween costume! ;)

Cruisin' on a Saturday!

Saturday we went to Biloxi to see Jeremiah's dad and step-mom. They went to Cruisin' the Coast over there and we went to visit for the day! No trip to the MS coast is complete without visiting the casinos....and lucky for us, they stayed at one! There's nothing like the intoxicating aroma of cigarettes and cheap perfume! Ha! It kind of made me miss Vegas! :( Anyway, we ate lunch at the casino buffet and then went back to the room to let Presley take a nap. Yeah, that didn't happen, so we called it quits and went to see some awesome cars. They had downtown Ocean Springs blocked off with miles of cars parked down the streets. Presley enjoyed people and car watching! She was so sleepy and I'm not gonna lie I enjoyed that! It made it tons easier to make her stay in the stroller! ;) She did eventually fall asleep for about 15 min! After that we went to dinner at Mellow Mushroom. Yum! And then gave Presley a bath back at the hotel room and headed back home. We had a short, but really good visit! We love y'all!

Our sleepy girl!
My favorite car! LOVE the colors!
The Petty Men & a little lady! :)
So since Presley was so tired from not really getting a nap out she had a meltdown after dinner. PapPaw took her outside to see the cars going by so the rest of us could finish eating. She waved to all of them and told them bye bye! She's too funny!

Show Us Your Life - kitchen (and master bedroom!)

So I've skipped a few Fridays over at Kelly's Korner, but tonight I'm making up! The kitchen is first and then our bedroom!

I do love my kitchen...however it's not my dream kitchen. This house was brand-spankin new when we bought it, meaning builder's beige was everywhere. & it wasn't a custom build, so we just got whatever the builder wanted to put in it! I still think it's pretty nice. But we've definitely learned what we do and don't want in our "forever" kitchen!

See my "EAT" letters? Ha! I totally stole the idea off Cougar Town! I just adapted them to our color scheme! :) & the paisley platter was a gift from our wedding. I adore it!

You'll have to excuse our food on top of the fridge and to the side. We don't have a pantry. :( Who builds a house and doesn't include a pantry? Everyone needs one to hide their junk!

~~~~~~~THE MASTER BEDROOM~~~~~~~
I so LOVE our bedroom! the furniture, the colors, the ultra awesome mattress.....LOVE! The wall color is "Shenandoah Taupe" although it looks gray. And the furniture is dark cherry, but it looks black. This is the summer bedding, which is a white quilt cause the hubs gets too hot otherwise. & the winter bedding is a super puffy {swoon!} down duvet which keeps me all nice and toasty in our freezing winters down here in the south! ;)
Sometimes I'm pretty crafty....this mirror was a steal at TJ Maxx, but it was white! :( So a few cans of black spray paint later and it was perfect! Same with the sconces....they were a hideous faux gold/bronze-ish color. Same black paint = same success!
The other wall facing the bed has a longer dresser that has a crazy old TV on it! We are planning on one day putting a flat screen on the wall and then using the dresser for pictures and nick knacks.
Well, that's it for tonight! Hope y'all have a great Saturday! We are headed to Biloxi to see Jeremiah's dad and step-mom while they are visiting the coast. :)
