Karate kicks from the stomach

I've posted a picture of little pea's BIG foot, because nothing really strikes me important enough today to blog about except little pea kicking. Boy s/he is going to town in there! It's so amazing and I love it! It really isn't the "butterfly flutters" so many people told me it would feel like. It started out feeling like vibrations or muscle twitches, but has gradually changed to hard kicks. Sometimes I'll honestly forget that I'm pregnant and then little pea will kick me, and it's almost as if s/he is saying "I'm still here so don't forget about me!!" It's so funny! Jeremiah has only felt s/he move once with his hand on my belly, but I know there is more to come! Little pea does the cutest thing whenever Jeremiah and I hold hands, hug or kiss....s/he moves like crazy! I think it's awesome that little pea knows his/her parents already! This baby definitely knows they are LOVED!

Baby Furniture

So we got the crib we ordered this past Tuesday and just got around to opening it up and looking at it tonight. It is beautiful! I'm so excited to actually get it assembled and put it in the nursery! Well, first things first, we gotta clean out the guest room and make it be the empty room that will turn into the nursery! We are so lucky that we have most of the big ticket items already or at least they are purchased and waiting to ship.

Here is a list of things we already have:
-swing
-papasan seat
-crib bedding
-crib
-rocker/ottoman
-dresser/hutch
-tons of clothes!

Now all I think we need is the car seat, stroller, pack-n-play...oh yeah and a BABY to go along with it!!

First Post at 21 weeks, 2 days

Can you tell I'm a procrastinator? Ha ha! I have wanted to do a blog from the beginning of this pregnancy and have honestly just been too lazy to do it before this! But I'm starting it now...better late than never, right? Since the pea is already halfway done cooking I'll catch everyone up on the first half of this miraculous event.

October 30, 2008- (4 w 2d) Got 2 undeniable pink lines on an infamous test!

November 14, 2008- (6w 3d) Broke the good news to our parents.

December 2, 2008- (9w 0d) Saw our little pea for the first time on u/s!

January 2, 2009- (13w 3d) Excited extended family with the news of our addition.

January 6, 2009- (14w 0d) First visit with high-risk OB and found out about exposure to parvo virus.

January 27, 2009- (17w 0d) Found out that I have placenta previa.

February 3, 2009- (18w 0d) Felt the pea KICKING for the first time! What an awesome thing!

WOW! That was a long list!

I've been feeling great the whole pregnancy...don't hate me! I know how incredibly blessed I am! I was just nauseous for a few days in the very beginning and extremely exhausted. My second trimester has wonderful (with the exception of finding out about the parvo exposure and previa) but have been tired still. I think I'm going to be feeling wiped out until the very last day because housing a human can be tiring! Well, I think that's about it for the first post. I just thank God every single day for the magnificent husband I have and for the precious little being I have growing inside of me.
