Another Christmas season has come and gone and I can hardly believe it. Presley was more into opening presents this year because she understood a little more. Overall it was a busy, fun filled weekend.
These pictures above were taken on Christmas Eve before church. I love going to this service…it’s one of my favorite services of the whole year. I couldn’t believe Presley let me get a picture of her smiling and actually looking at the camera! :)
I totally forgot to take my camera over to my parents’ house on Christmas day, so no pictures were taken. What a crazy person, right? And I also forgot to take any pictures of the three of us opening gifts that morning. SO it pretty much looks like we had no Christmas this year!
And my dad wasn’t here until a week after Christmas so, technically this one was taken on New Years Day when we went over there to watch him open his belated gifts. I love the people in this picture but, it’s a really bad picture with the downward cast shadow! I really need an external flash…anyone want to donate to that cause?!
We always celebrate our Christmas with Karri a few days after and for the second year in a row, we’ve done it on New Years Eve. We eat dinner, open gifts, watch movies and then the ball drop on TV. It’s a nice little way to ring in the new year! This year, Jeremiah made Pioneer Woman’s steak with whiskey cream sauce. Oh my gosh! It was beyond amazing! I tried to find the recipe on her website, but couldn’t. It’s in her cookbook though. Seriously try it asap! Anyway, I finally remembered to take some pictures! That blanket that P is holding up is for her dolls and Karri’s grandmother made it. Isn’t it sweet?
And now for the Christmas gifts……
She got a gigantic kitchen (a separate post coming soon!), trio blocks, slippers, Elmo’s World DVDs, a broom, books, a magnetic dress-up doll, and a baby stroller from Santa. And she unwrapped a few gifts from us as well. I can’t remember what they were now! maybe pjs were one of them?!
She LOVED the kitchen! It was the cutest thing on Christmas morning when she came out and saw it. She just kept looking at it and then looking over at us like “is it really mine?”! She has enjoyed cooking us many meals on it so far! (:
