Well, I thought I had taken more belly pics than this, but these are all that I found. It’s kinda cool to see baby girl grow over the past few months though! (:

my high maintenance girls
With Presley, our first visit to L&D triage was at 31 weeks. I had to get Terbutaline to make the contractions stop. Then, we spent the night at 36 weeks for preterm labor, only to be sent home the next day for no progression. And I had Presley the next week.
With new little miss, I first went to triage at 29 weeks for some painful contractions. I only had some uterine irritability when I got hooked up to the monitor, no contractions. So they sent me home. I went back last Sunday night at 34w5d because of painful contractions. This time I had to get Terbutaline to make them stop. Let me just say, that stuff is AWFUL! It makes your heart rate jump up, gives you the shakes, and just generally, sucks!
And then tonight, I was at work and around 9 pm, started having contractions. About 10 in 50 min., so every 5 min. They were getting increasingly more uncomfortable, so I decided to get checked out. I was still only dilated to a 1 cm, which was what I was last Sunday. My blood pressure was a bit higher than it has been. But that doesn’t surprise me with how swollen I’ve been in the last week and the headaches that I’ve been having. I had high blood pressure with Presley as well. I never progressed any, so they sent me home tonight. I’m still having painful contractions. Sometimes they’re every 4 min apart and I have to blow through the pain! Yikes! But I’m not dilating at all with them and that weirds me out!
I’m not ready for her to come yet. I still have to finish her nursery and buy some more Christmas presents with my good paychecks. Ha! But I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t ready to breathe again! (:
forgotten belly pics
I don’t know how I missed posting these. Guess I didn’t do a weekly update for these 2 weeks. Oh well, I just wanted to post them for my records.

It’s a GIRL!
I know this is old news but I still wanted to put it on the blog to remember! When we had our 20 week ultrasound 2 days before our 6th wedding anniversary, we decided to just have the ultrasound tech print out a picture of the gender and put it in an envelope. Then we went to dinner on our anniversary night and opened the envelope after dessert. Then a few weeks later we went to dinner with my parents and his mom and step dad. Then came back to our house and cut the cake to see that it had a PINK middle!
Everyone was really surprised that it was a girl. Presley and Kole were disappointed, to say the least. Kole almost cried that it wasn’t a boy. Ha! I really didn’t expect the two girls to act like that. I thought they would be happy to have another girl on their side.
Aren’t these shirts so cute? I’m so excited to be having a girl! (Not that I wouldn’t have loved to have a baby boy…maybe someday!) I can’t wait to dress my girls alike. And see them playing together. I hope they become best friends for life. :)
When we went to the ultrasound appointment this week, we asked the tech to look again and make sure that she was really a she. “definitely a girl” was what she said when she scanned me!

32 weeks
- How far along? technically 32 weeks and 4 days
- Total weight gain: +20 lbs
- Maternity clothes? everything that I wear!
- Stretch marks? none
- Sleep: it’s been kinda restless lately….which stinks!
- Best moment this week: seeing baby girl on the ultrasound and finding out that she was bigger than we thought she would be
- Miss Anything? being able to do little things without getting out of breath
- Movement: she’s gotten to the point where she can kick my ribs and it’s fun…..NOT! but I do love feeling her move
- Food cravings: chicken strips, especially from McDonald’s or Whataburger. very weird!
- Food aversions: none
- Gender: GIRL! :)
- Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks contractions almost daily. they’re worse and more painful when I’m at work though
- Belly Button in or out? in
- Wedding rings on or off? on, but they’re getting more difficult to squeeze on. I just told Jeremiah the other day that I was glad that I bought a cheapo Target wedding band when I thought I had lost my real rings, because it’s become so handy when mine won’t fit! I can at least still feel married!
- Looking forward to: maternity pictures next Saturday and finishing her nursery!
You’ll have to excuse the dirty mirror and the quality of the cell phone pic! But at least you can see the belly!
look at her sweet little cheeks! I can’t wait to kiss them! (: I kind of hate ultrasounds at the regular OB’s office because they’re so grainy and have lots of shadows. which makes my medical mind go crazy with wild thoughts. the high-risk ultrasounds that we got with Presley were such better quality. but I guess it’s better not to have to be seen by high-risk!

art festival
We went to our downtown art festival back in March. We normally just walk around and then eat a snack from the yummy vendors. But this year, they had a kids area where they could make crafts for free. Of course, all our kids wanted was a cowboy hat and Kole didn’t even want one of those! They also got some balloon animals and after the second one popped, we decided to go eat a snow cone and call it a day!
21 weeks
- How far along? 20 weeks and 6 days
- Total weight gain: +11 lbs
- Maternity clothes? a few! the dress above is small maternity dress and it’s a little bit big. but it was free and in black, my favorite color, so I love it! (:
- Stretch marks? none
- Sleep: insomnia has been setting in lately and it stinks!
- Best moment this week: well, I’m looking forward to telling everyone the gender and seeing/hearing their reactions

- Movement: oh yes! the baby is such a night owl!
- Food cravings: nothing in particular
- Food aversions: this isn’t really an aversion, but if I wait too long to eat when I’m hungry I get super nauseous. like, dry heave nauseous…it’s lovely!
- Gender: We know! We know! (; The big reveal for everybody else is Friday!
- Labor Signs: none thank goodness
- Symptoms: still round ligament pains, and general cramping. and also killer heartburn.

BOY or GIRL? take two!
When I was about 30 weeks pregnant with Presley I took a bunch of online quizzes to see what they said about the sex of the baby. Here’s the post. Of course, I never believe any of them. I think it’s just a fun thing to do! I took the exact ones again this time. Only two were correct with her, because she is obviously a girl! (: So I wonder if these are right? I know!! (; But everyone has to wait a little bit longer to find out! 11 days to be exact! We’re going to do a gender reveal party of sorts. We’re just getting my family and his mom together for dinner and then have a cake with blue or pink in the middle!
We had our anniversary dinner Saturday night and we found out then! It’s exciting to know because I’ll enjoy being able to do the nursery specifically for a boy or girl this time. Not to mention having clothes washed and ready to wear! Oh and being able to buy monogrammed stuff, of course! (= Everybody but me thinks it is/wants a boy. I’ve only had one dream about the sex, and it’s been a girl. So, we’ll see soon!

19 weeks
- How far along? 19 weeks today!
- Total weight gain: +6 lbs as of 16 weeks, not sure now
- Maternity clothes? I’m rocking the bella band with my regular pants and a few maternity tops
- Stretch marks? none, yet! My stomach is getting itchy so they might be coming.
- Sleep: ok
- Best moment this week: cookout with my family, and fun kid-free shopping with Karri!
- Miss Anything? not having heartburn
- Movement: yes! (: not really strong yet, but I notice them more frequently.
- Food cravings: nothing in particular
- Food aversions: pretty much anything raw when I’m cooking. Raw chicken and uncooked ground beef grosses me out. I’m ok to eat it though once it’s cooked. It’s weird
- Gender: ???? We find out this week! (: Presley thinks it’s a boy and so does everyone else, so we’ll see!
- Labor Signs: none thank goodness
- Symptoms: round ligament pains, and general cramping. Dr. D says the cramping is worse with the second baby! Your uterus stretches faster the second time around….fun!
- Belly Button in or out? in
- Wedding rings on or off? on
- Looking forward to: finding out the gender this week! My anatomy ultrasound is scheduled for Thursday morning. We have decided to have the u/s tech just write down the gender for us and we will open it at our anniversary dinner on Saturday night. We found out alone with Presley (we were the only two in the delivery room) and we want to find out alone with this one too!

NAS trip
The first day of spring break was crazy rainy so we decided to spend the day at the Naval Air Station museum. Unfortunately the rest of Pensacola had the same idea and it was insanely packed! We still had a good time though. They loved seeing all the planes and playing in the kids area. I always love seeing the movies they have on IMAX, but we didn’t do that this time. We ate at the little café there and it was delicious. I don’t remember it being that good before! I think it’s pretty amazing that we live so close to the home of The Blue Angels!
Kole wasn’t feeling the picture with the planes. She wanted my mom to hold her instead of Presley!
The one on the right cracks me up! Kole decided to fly like a plane! (:
This one was much better…all smiles! Of course the only picture of Presley and I turned out super blurry. Glad we got a bunch of my mom and the kids though!
Oh I love these munchkins! (:
cupcakes and a quick trip to the park
Presley was being very quiet in the kitchen one day and this is what I discovered when I found her! She was being a good little Mommy and feeding her baby cupcakes! (:
We have a walking trail that runs right by our house. It’s super nice and leads to a cute little playground that we like to visit. My only complaint is that it has no lighting, so you have to be headed home before it gets dark. Anyway, these are some pictures from a time in January that we went. Notice how Presley is dressed? We had some crazy “winter” weather this year! I’m really hoping it gets cold enough to actually cool off from the summer heat this year.

A mermaid birthday!
Presley’s 3rd party was a mermaid party at the beach. She loves the beach so what better place to have it? I decided to rein in the crazy party ideas this year and just go simple. We were unexpectantly out of town the weekend before the party and I had not done one thing for it except send out the invites! So that kind of helped me decide to just go simple! ha ha! I still think it turned out adorable and she loved it all!
________________________________________________________________________
The décor: My mom made these ruffled streamers that turned out phenomenal! It was so windy that day that everything had to be taped down like crazy and the streamers that hung down were completely horizontal the whole time! Oh well! They were really pretty at least!
The food: We had PB&J and goldfish for the kids and a Subway platter for the adults! It was delicious and so easy to just go pickup from the store! We also had fruit, cookies and cupcakes!
The fun!
The favors: beach toys!
Random photos!
Thanks our moms who helped out tremendously and of course, Karri! It wouldn’t have been as pretty or as delicious of a party as it was without y’all! (: I can’t believe at her next party, we’ll be celebrating FOUR!
